Sembrando Futuro 2.0 aims to restore Andean forests near three Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in the Antioquia region. These rehabilitated ecosystems will restore crucial wildlife habitats, connect migration routes, and protect biodiversity.
Co-benefits include creating sustainable jobs for the community, agroforestry programs, a center for research and education, and a large-scale nursery for native species.
Sembrando Futuro 2.0 will remove 390,000+ tonnes of CO₂ over 40 years and 537,600+ tonnes of CO₂ after full expansion.
